MONETARY DONATIONS:

BEQUESTS:

A bequest is the act of giving property through a will.  An easy way to make a charitable gift to GLH is through a bequest in your will or trust.

Your bequest can be unrestricted, meaning that the money can be used by GLH for general purposes.  This can be most useful to the organization because the assets can be put to use in areas of greatest need.

Your bequest can also be restricted, meaning that the gift would be required to be used in a specific manner (used for a specific project or a special area of interest).

LIFE INSURANCE BENEFICIARY DESIGNATION:

You may name GLH as the beneficiary of a life insurance policy, even if you are still paying premiums.  Death benefits will be paid directly to GLH without going through probate.

CHECKING, SAVINGS, CD, BROKERAGE ACCOUNTS:

Another method of making a charitable gift is by designating GLH as the beneficiary on a new or existing bank account, certificate of deposit or brokerage account.  You retain complete control over the funds while you are living and whatever is in the account at the time of your death will be “payable .
